May his soul Rest in Peace.
Senior Most Journalist KM Srivastava, who wrote in depth about the History of Indian Cinema and Pillar of Indian Cinema Bombay Talkies in his Book, Bombay Talkies The Pillar of Indian Cinema, is not with us today. He lost his life due to coronavirus disease. Late. Shyam Sharma, who worked at Mayapuri Weekly, was an extremely fine human being. Shyam Sharma was one of our close acquaintances at Dube Industries and Bombay Talkies. He left us too soon at the age of 65 after suffering illness from Covid 19.
Maharishi Aazaad added “Having lost people so close to us has left a big void for the Film Industry. Such people are very hard to find. The dedication and devotion they had towards their work was exceptional. These are indeed very strange times which resulted in the loss of our loved ones. Shyam Sharma, Mohan Iyer and KM Srivastava were those three gems which were invaluable to us as well as the entire film industry.”
Sanskrit Bharati Kamini Dube said that “I’m very sad for the fact that These three personalities are not with us anymore. They were part of the promotion team for our movie Rashtraputra and Aham Brahmasmi. Before the coronavirus pandemic, Mr. Mohan Iyer was with us in the most recent event of Bombay Talkies.”
