Neither Shyam Sharma, nor KM Srivastava and now Mohan Iyer is not with us today. - Maharishi Aazaad

International Brand Ambassador of Sanskrit, Sanskrit Mahanayak Maharishi Aazaad expressed his grief towards the demise of 3 greats of the Indian Film Industry.


Maharishi Aazaad said “These are such tragic times because of which we have lost few colleagues too soon, who were so close to us.”


Late. Mohan Iyer

Mohan Iyer, a journalist cum PRO, who had been associated with Bombay Talkies and Dube Industries, worked for many corporations as well as Complete Cinema Magazine for many years. He is not with us today due to coronavirus disease. He passed away on 30th March 2021 in fighting with this deadly disease. His son Aditya Iyer who is 21, informed us of the sad news. May his soul Rest in Peace.


Senior Most Journalist KM Srivastava, who wrote in depth about the History of Indian Cinema and Pillar of Indian Cinema Bombay Talkies in his Book, Bombay Talkies The Pillar of Indian Cinema, is not with us today. He lost his life due to coronavirus disease. Late. KM Srivastava was one the most exceptional journalists, who was at the pinnacle of his career because of his huge contributions to the Indian Film Industry.

Shyam Sharma, who worked at Mayapuri Weekly, was an extremely fine human being. Shyam Sharma was one of our close acquaintances at Dube Industries and Bombay Talkies. He left us too soon at the age of 65 after suffering illness from Covid 19.

Maharishi Aazaad added “Having lost people so close to us has left a big void for the Film Industry. Such people are very hard to find. The dedication and devotion they had towards their work was exceptional. These are indeed very strange times which resulted in the loss of our loved ones. Shyam Sharma, Mohan Iyer and KM Srivastava were those three gems which were invaluable to us as well as the entire film industry.”

Sanskrit Bharati Kamini Dube said that “I’m very sad for the fact that These three personalities are not with us anymore. They were part of the promotion team for our movie Rashtraputra and Aham Brahmasmi. Before the coronavirus pandemic, Mr. Mohan Iyer was with us in the most recent event of Bombay Talkies.”
